HISTORYOVM, Inc. was founded in 1973 as the Inter-Faith Offender Concerns Committee. M-2 and Victim Offender Conferencing were among the earliest programs designed to address issues of incarceration and rehabilitation within the community. We are especially grateful for the strong volunteer base that helped make these early programs a possibility.
In 1987, the Inter-Faith Committee renamed itself Offender/Victim Ministries, Inc. (OVM). Since then, OVM continues to develop and administer programs to reconcile and transform relationships of those impacted by conflict, crime, and incarceration in our community. Each program addresses the needs of offenders and victims, actively connecting participants to other community services as needed. |
Mission StatementGuided by restorative justice principles, OVM, Inc. provides services to reconcile and transform relationships of those impacted by conflict, trauma, crime and incarceration in our local communities.
